Jay Chopra PhD

Managing Director

Bio

Jay is a former Fortune 100 executive, specializing in Leadership Development, Team Development & the creation of Innovative, Inclusive work cultures. He previously served on the Innovation Leadership Team For Pfizer Global Supply (PGS) in New York where he was tasked with helping to create an inclusive, innovative culture across the global footprint of PGS – 80+ sites, 20,000+ global staff (1/3 of Pfizer Inc.). He has travelled to 20+ countries to work with many of the world’s largest organizations, routinely operating at senior leadership level.

Jay leads the Making Shift Happen boutique consultancy team, with resources in Europe & US. Making Shift Happen works with organisations such as Merck/MSD, GSK, UCC, Suntory, Teleflex, Zoetis, Abbvie, iNua, Uniphar, Taoglas, Pfizer, Dr. Martens, Trinity college amongst others. He is also Executive Program Director and Associate Faculty at the Irish Management Institute. He has specific expertise in the implementation of large-scale behavioural change programs, and team effectiveness in large captital projects.

Jay holds a PhD in science and is one of only a handful of master certified Whole Brain®️facilitators globally. Jay is also certified in executive coaching, Hogan, EQ, 360 feedback, The Enneagram, Insights & Realise 2 Strengths.

Jay is all about making work more human by converting intangible fuzzy “soft skills” (human skills!) into tangible, practical concepts using scientific and tool-based approaches. His x-factor is his strong belief in inclusion as a key business enabler. He developed this belief from his personal experience of building-a-bridge within himself between his Irish and Indian heritage, while growing up in what was then a homogenous Ireland.

Jay is an accomplished speaker and MC and enjoys designing and orchestrating large scale impactful events for Senior Leaders e.g. Merck/MSD All-Ireland Leaders Meeting 2018 2019, 2022, PGS year-beginning meetings in Florida, 2012-2014.

Christine Sutton

Business Psychologist

Bio

Christine is an expert people professional with a wealth of experience across multiple sectors. She spent several years in the financial services sector in Ireland supporting senior leadership across several jurisdictions working on local and global employee development and change initiatives.

Christine is accredited in several psychometric tools for use in personal, team and leadership coaching and development, as well as selection processes. She is an accredited coach, holds a Masters in Organisational Psychology and is a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD. As a perpetual learner, she is currently undertaking a Professional Doctorate in Organisational Psychology at Birkbeck, University of London.

Christine’s areas of interest include leadership development and gender equality. This includes the experiences of women in Executive and Board level positions and how their experiences can enable a greater understanding on the impact of behaviours to inform the development and progression of women into executive roles.

Sharon Murphy

HR and Organizational Development Consultant

Sharon has extensive experience as a people leader in science-based industries having worked in science-based organisations in Ireland & Australia. Sharon has specific expertise in people leadership in the Food Industry. She holds an MSc in Human Resource Management from University College Cork and is expert in employee engagement with specific emphasis on hybrid working.

Victoria has over two decades of experience in client-centric roles collaborating with clients across the entire business landscape, spanning from start-ups and independent consultants to Fortune 500 corporate giants.

Most recently specialising in Project Management, Victoria holds certifications as a Project Management Professional (PMP)®, PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner and Scrum Master.  Victoria is also a Herrmann HBDI® Certified Practitioner.

Victoria is a highly motivated and organised professional with a proven track record of leading end-to-end projects, and fostering client relationships to achieve mutually successful outcomes.

Anne Mahler PhD

Consultant & Academy Lead

Bio

Anne holds a PhD in English Literature and has extensive research experience in the international higher education environment. Anne has an international track record in teaching and public speaking on private, corporate, and university levels. Originally from Germany, she has taught at Leipzig University and University College Cork, Ireland, and presented at international conferences. Anne is MSH Academy Lead and Content Lead acting as a bridge between academia and industry in the organisational development space. Anne also delivers workshops to our blue-chip client base.

Eamon Foley

Executive Coach

Bio

Eamon brings a wealth of experience from the corporate world having held senior management and leadership positions in large international organisations in the private, public and semi state sectors in Ireland and abroad.

In his role as CFO of Air Rianta International cpt (ARI) , Eamon lead the acquisition teams in major investments, including Birmingham International Airport.  As CEO he successfully led an extensive business portfolio of airport investments and airport retailing by building a strong culture, committed flexible leadership team, and appropriate strategy.  

He also has significant board experience having held executive, non-executive and chairmanship roles in numerous boards in Ireland, Europe Middle East, India and the former CIS.

Recognised for his leadership and negotiation skills, Eamon advocates for cultivating the right culture within organisations, emphasising relationships and clear communication for stakeholder support. Now specialising in Leadership and Executive Coaching, he holds MBA and Masters qualifications from prestigious institutions such as UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School and University College Cork.

Mary Clavieres

Mary Clavieres is a senior consultant specializing in change management, team effectiveness, and transformation for both individuals and global corporations. With a degree in engineering and 15 years experience in Fortune 100 companies, Mary utilizes her expertise to help leaders and teams navigate change by leveraging cognitive diversity. She is certified in the Herrmann Brain Dominance Instrument®. Mary is also passionate about building communities.

Mary co-hosts the FearLess Business Podcast. She has been featured in Forbes, Business Insider, Romper, Swaay, and other media outlets. In 2019, she was the recipient of NPR’s How I Built This Fellowship Program.

Aoife O’Dwyer

Bio

Aoife is an experienced client relationship manager with 18 years’ experience in the financial sector working in both retail and corporate banking. Throughout her career she has excelled in building strong relationships with her clients across a wide variety of sectors & backgrounds. She is an experienced change agent, with extensive project management and facilitation experience including in the area of “Lean Six Sigma” in which Aoife holds a Level 9 University qualification. Aoife has extensive experience in sales and customer relationship management having led and managed direct and indirect sales teams. She is a Herrmann HBDI ® Certified Practitioner and qualified financial advisor.

Aoife is particularly interested in using her experience and skills to provide an exceptional customer experience for Making Shift Happen’s clients.

David O’Mahony

Bio

David is an experienced financial professional with over 15 years’ experience in senior leadership roles within Corporate, SME and Real Estate Banking and Corporate Finance sectors.

David has significant people management and leadership skills with commercial experience in strategic planning, operations, restructuring, transaction management, and real estate.

David has led a number of major re-organisation and transformation programmes from design phase to activation and full operation. He is a change agent having had responsibility for change management and culture change initiatives within a number of teams.

David is particularly interested in helping individuals and teams unlock their potential and believes that the working environment can bring out the best in people and organisations. David’s experience coupled with his listening, questioning and grounded commercial skills helps people and organisations to make the shift needed to improve performance and increase satisfaction in life and work.

Kim McGaw

Bio

Kim is based in Houston Texas, USA and is a graduate of Northwestern University. She has a master’s degree in coaching and applied psychology. She is also an ICF-certified executive coach and an adjunct instructor at Rice University. She is a former Second City comedienne. Since 2001 Kim has been designing and delivering exceptional learning experiences for some of the world’s largest organizations

Louise Coombes

Bio

Louise is a recent graduate of MSc Global Mental Health and Society at the University of Edinburgh where she studied under a full scholarship from the George Moore Scholars Programme. During her postgraduate studies, Louise studied critical approaches to global mental health through an interdisciplinary lens.

Louise is a HCPC registered Occupational Therapist with experience working in mental health services in Central London. Louise studied Occupational Therapy at University College Cork where she was the top student in the College of Medicine and Health. She was also awarded a National University of Ireland Medical Scholarship as the top student in her field in Ireland.

Today, Louise is enthusiastic about applying her knowledge and skills to promote wellbeing and productivity in the business world.
